St. Louis Amigan - December 2016: The Power of Prayer

They said that Trump followers would riot and destroy when their man lost the election. They vilified, slandered and mocked. All the while it was they who were making plans for riot and destruction, and not the victims of their lies.

The victims of their lies were fasting and praying and seeking God’s mercy and grace upon this once greatest of nations.
And, Oh, the power of prayer!
Nations in the Muslim world are now beginning to read the, very Christian, Isaiahic Commission blog. For many long years Christian people have been praying for revival to hit the Muslim lands, but could find no way of making headway other than battering the doors of Heaven, beseeching God through the power of prayer.
Years ago, in the American Midwest, there was a powerfully virulent Atheist and a quiet, meek, young woman. Terrified of witnessing to him, she resorted to fervent, incessant prayer. The woman was Tonia Adams; the Atheist was me.
In the arenas of the ancient Roman Empire, unarmed, facing gladiators and wild, ravenous beasts, Christians in their droves resorted to worship and to praise and to prayer. Years later, Emperor Constantine ended the Roman persecutions of the faithful and joined them in their faith.
God is moved by the power of prayer.
He is moved by it because by it believers are depending totally and completely on Him, not using it as a “just in case” measure, but as their only resort. Recognizing no power in themselves, they seek the power of God. The power of God is put on display through the power of prayer.
In early 2013, a political ad was aired by a small Christian television station in the American Midwest. They were seeking a change of regime in the City of the Arch.
From that day till this that regime has sought the destruction of the organization behind that ad. They have even declared it illegal to stop on the street in front of that Christian church and ministry, seeking to choke off the lifeblood of the donations that keep it going, and they vilify and slander and mock, falsely accusing and spreading the filth of blame while they execute wickedness themselves, seeking to leave the desperate in the wind and the snow and the ice and the rain.
God, though is more powerful than that. By God moving in the minds and hearts of those determined for justice and for truth, the head of that regime stands exposed as culpable in the cover-up of the murder of an unarmed civilian by an out of control police officer. His days of power are numbered, for God has numbered them, and his sought for outlet into the Federal regime is cut offagain, through the power of prayer.
The regime he sought to join will not be because people in their millions prayed and God responded by turning the presidential election of 2016 on its head in response to the reverberations of the din of the prayers of millions around the world praying for mercy and grace to be bestowed upon a nation.
The evil man conceives wickedness and gives birth to falsehood. He makes a pit, digging it, and falls into the pit he has made. His mischief turns, and his violence comes on his own head. i The doors which once beckoned now disappear and his prison winds up without walls.
They have bleached all dignity from their own lives, and innocence is a foreign language to the ears of their mind. But evil is not foreign to my mind, for that is what I was before God, by the prayers of the innocent, conquered my mind.
It is by the power of prayer that God does these things, and even those swept up in the violence of their own rebellion and sin can reach out their hands to him and be washed and cleansed within. I was there; now I’m here.
Even the diabolical madman can be washed and cleansed, should he turn and seek the Creator of his soul. Should he do so, it would have been through the power of prayer.
There are stories of one such who would murder and devour children. After being caught, convicted, and imprisoned for his crimes, it is said that he turned and faced his Savior and became clean, before being murdered himself in the performance of his duties while prison-bound.
People, in general, do not like hearing such stories. Those stories slam up against the public sense of justice. But the public sense of justice is based upon a population of those, the large majority of whom, have not faced their own culpability for sin.
They think themselves well though they are bound for hell, and their “justice” is based on themselves and not on God. They think themselves good when God is the source of good, and not them.
God is the source of good. He is the only source of good.
This concept is vilified, and slandered and mocked by those who think that people are the source of God, but this is a nonsense that simply cannot be, for we are not the source of all we see.
Yes, friends. All that we see has a source, and that source is not you and me.
Each of us was born. We were born out of the flesh of those preexistent to us, so we cannot be the source of all we see. All that we see has a source that came before we were caused to be. For those who seek the truth, this is easy enough to see.
Think on this (you know it to be true by your own experience and innate logic): There is not one thing that causes itself to come to be.
Not one.
It does not happen. By simple, elementary logic, it cannot happen. There is no argument against this (except from those insane with their own sense of self-godhood).
How, then, does anything happen to be?
It happens because there is One who has being, without having begun to have being; who exists without having begun to exist. We know this because it is the only logical and sensible solution to the problem of existence in general. Material existence itself does not solve this because all verifiable scientific evidence screams that material existence began to exist. Because material existence began to exist, it cannot have caused itself to be. It cannot have caused itself to begin to exist.
Because of this, that which has being without having begun to have being cannot be material in nature. It has to be immaterial. Another way of saying this is that it has to be spirit.
God is spirit, and those who worship Him, in spirit and truth must worship. ii
Coders should ask themselves this: How does one know if a system is programmed? Then, once you answer that question, take your answer and apply it to biological systems.
It is God that is the power behind Creation, and God that is the programmer behind it, and God that is the power behind prayer.
When you cry out to something (anything!) that is beyond the visible creation, are you not acknowledging that there is, in fact, someone there who is listening? When you cry out, so, for help, are you not, in fact acknowledging your own powerlessness?
Those who do so are not insane, but are simply acknowledging the elementary facts of simple logic that state that someone who can help, who can effectually answer such pleas, is, in fact out there, waiting for you to call. The effects of such calling are all around you, if you will but open your eyes to see. And it all comes about by the effectual use of the power of prayer!

Jeremiah's Sorrow

How turned around is a society when the only large, public organization that is actually fighting for truth is an outfit that most people think of as a shadow organization that really ought to be in jail? How near the precipice when news comes out of scandal on high and, rather than react in outrage, the people can barely stifle a yawn? When the people’s informers cry out in mock outrage over perceived faults of their opponents (all the while taking secret part in greater evil themselves), how long until the anvil falls? When the gavel falls there yet may be appeals, but when the anvil falls it’s over, for death hears no appeals; when you viper-strike at Jesus, your head’s crushed by His heel!

This year brings what is quite possibly the most critical Presidential election in the entire history of the United States of America. For decades the elites have ignored, mocked and ridiculed warning after warning after warning until we have, finally, arrived at the point when an aspirant to the highest human office in that God-given land, rather than repent and seek His guidance, would cut off God’s great hand, and the people keep their silence with history at hand. Is this Jeremiah’s sorrow, or dawn of a new day?

But, then you have the other, with counselors at hand, surrounding him with mercy, and grace from divine hands, the light of truth poured in him as their Lord doth command. A suckling babe, at best, is he, to follow God’s command, but truth and life march through him, ignoring Hell’s demand that says he must be silent for sin has stained his hand. But God, in His sweet mercy, has conquered Satan’s stand and washed away rebellion to stand at Heaven’s hand.

Oh, light was dimmed at Calv’ry as Hell partied that day, but gripless was his reach that day, for greed burdened his hands. Addicted to rebellion, the light slipped through death’s hands! And, Oh! The shout of triumph as demons fled away, for salvation yet liveth! The stone is cast away!

Look, now, on Heaven’s triumph and cast all doubt away! Let nothing stand between you and victory this day, for Jesus’ resurrection can pay your debt each day. It dwindles and it dwindles as greed is washed away; the lusting after power cannot His servants sway. In whitened robes they cometh, washed white from sins’ dark stains! The cure for putrefaction is Christ alive today, ensconced in Heaven’s glory and reigning there to stay.

There is but one righteous choice in this Presidential election year, and that is to get up off your collective duffs, go to the polls and vote. The one with Jesus’ wisdom will know which part to say. The woman of rebellion must not control the day.

As each new day goes by more corruption in her party is shown in light of day. When you compare the behaviors and the platforms of each of the two major political parties in the United States today there is only one that even tries to do things Heaven’s way. On the left you have a party whose leadership habitually shouts down any attempt at righteousness and takes up Satan’s way, while on the right, while you do, of course, have fallen people (as we are all that way), you also have a laundry list of Biblical aspirations to guide society’s way.

The difference has been spoken, as if it’s night and day. Cast off your foolish pride to think you know God’s way. How many would have welcomed when Saul knocked on that day? But he was Heaven’s servant, as Trump might be today.

Think, people! Get your head out from between your cheeks and think! There is one choice to make.

In Your Own Town: St. Louis Amigan November 2016 Issue

Who is God? Have you ever considered that question? It is a pondering that the Christian should take part in, you know.
Many are those who question even the very existence of God. You see, when they do that they feel as if they have no need, then, to ponder who God is. That, though, is a failed philosophy, contradicted not just by even the very most basic evidence of science, but by the unalterable axioms of logic. Twist their minds however they might into the lurid pretzel bends of lunatic wonderland, the axioms of genuine logic, of true, clear, sober-minded thinking, still stand unaltered, mocking their claims of wisdom. They are fools who believe that their own personal preferences trump the realities all around them.
The fact that anything is demands that God is.
Skeptics can mock and laugh and ridicule and scorn all they like, but Truth stands while lies all around it collapse under the weight of their own inestimable vacuities.
God is, and that cannot be honestly denied.
Who, though, is God?
When we ask that question, we are not looking for a name—at least not in the modern sense in which names are regarded. No, if we do so, we do so in the ancient Hebrew sense; the sense in which Moses explained to God why he was asking God for His name, to which God, in so many words, graciously replied, “I am the self-existent one. Tell them ‘I Am has sent me to you.’” 1 In other words, we are looking for the content of His character. Given situation x, what will the content of His character cause Him to do. And yet, even in just considering such a question, we need to know who He is so that we can sensibly define the bounds of the term, “situation”.
A situation includes all that can be detected for which there are discernible connections to a particular event or happenstance. What, though, are the bounds? Are they defined by the level of our awareness? In other words, detectable and discernible by whom?
Taking myself as an example, when I am in a room with the door closed, concentrating on my work, I will most likely be blissfully unaware of what is happening on the other side of the door, much less further afield. Does that, though, eliminate all other connections of which I am totally unaware? Will Comet Deathfield fail to strike the heart of my city, destroying all inhabitants and habitations simply because I don’t know it’s coming?
Really?
How, then, do you account for the efficaciousness of stealth and surprise in conflict encounters? As any good soldier can attest, the enemy’s ignorance of your presence does not eliminate your presence, but rather, makes it much more effective. In the same way, your ignorance of the one you treat as an enemy does not eliminate His presence.
Perhaps you would do better by seeking to detect Him while praying that He is not actually an enemy at all, but the best friend you could ever hope to have.
The existence of God is required by logic as simple as the Law of Non-contradiction. It is also an axiom of logic that in order to create, one must first exist. In other words, that which does not exist cannot create. This is true because if it does not exist it is not there to do the deed, and cannot be the perpetrator of it, not because it was not there, but because it was not anywhere. This is where the Law of Non-contradiction comes into play regarding the existence of God. A thing cannot both be and not be at the same time and in the same sense.
It has been scientifically proven, and atheistically confirmed, that the universe began to exist. Therefore something, or someone, had to have pre-existed the universe in order to have caused it to begin to exist. Since the universe cannot be where it is not when it is not how it is not, it cannot be its own cause, since that would violate the Law of Non-contradiction.
If you do not exist, then you cannot be held responsible for that which does.
So if you have been holding to the philosophy that denies the existence of God while at the very same time consistently displaying a hatred or anger toward God, you had better get either a different culprit or a different philosophy because the two do not keep the same company, and you only make yourself out to be a fool when you try to force it on them. Far better be it to correct yourself and appear wise, than be corrected by others and proved a fool.
We see, whether narrowly or broadly, only a limited subset of that which is, while God sees all. He is omniscient, which means that He is all-knowing.
We see the circumstances which surround us, but we do not see all of them; we see only in part. Do you remember what I wrote earlier about my own level of awareness? That is not a new occurrence. It has ever been with me.
Many years ago, October 1977 to March 1988 I worked for a garment manufacturer, Barad & Co., at their main warehouse at 1520 Washington in St. Louis, Missouri. In the early years of that association I did not have a vehicle of my own, so I rode the bus. In order to catch the bus home I had to walk from 1520 Washington down to Locust St., east of 12th St., which, of course involved crossing a section of 12th St. now known as Tucker Blvd.
One day, on reaching 12th St., I decided to cross against the light. Thirty years ago, I was in my youth and easily nimble enough to do so and arrive safely at my goal, having done so many times before. This time, though, I stepped down from the curb and a hand grabbed me by my belt and pulled me back onto the curb. I wasn’t even aware that person was alive, much less cared enough about me to risk themselves on my most unworthy behalf.
Even in my atheism, God was protecting me from myself, and, this time, used a tall, scrawny débutante named Katie to do so.
Many years before, humanity had already fallen into an irretrievable state of wickedness that only God could solve. From our own limited perspective the situation was hopeless. Should we even be aware of God, the honest person knew then, and knows now, that they do not deserve anything from God, save only death—death most eternal and most foul. We deserved nothing from Him and could expect nothing from Him—unless, of course, we knew God, and knew who God is.
It is only the one honest enough to face their own purely satanic wickedness who has any chance to really know God, and to know who God is—because they have a true knowledge of themselves to serve as a stark contrast.
Apart from God we are rude, greedy, selfish, rebellious, overbearing little dictatorial hooligans forever thumbing our noses at God and all that He stands for. We are foul, wicked, filthy, perverted and perverting, pulling up stakes that are not ours to pull, seeking every trick we can muster in our obsession to lord it over the lives of others whom we should be seeing as free, valuable individuals capable of living their lives without our self-important, self-interested, self-centered, self-focused, know-it-all interference seeking to drive the undesirables away and out of our presence,2 because, after all, “if we don’t see them they’re not really there at all!”
Such is the attitude of those who deny God.
If you desire to know God you don’t have to cross oceans or national borders or climb some high, distant mountain to achieve it. Just lift the blanket on the corner and let your heart be broken as you look, lovingly, into the eyes that you uncover. Then open your own doors and let them inside!
If you will do this, then you will be acting as God has called you to act.3
The God about whom you inquire is not just distantly theological, but deeply, deeply personal, as well. He does not only expect you to know—He expects you to do; He expects you to feel. You are not only to be delivered; you are to deliver.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you4—and stop treating them like so much useless cattle to be herded about wherever your whims may please. They are not animals! They are not vermin! They are people!
God sent His Son; we call Him Jesus. But He did not send Him to the wealthy, to the elites, to the rulers who lorded it over the downtrodden. He sent Him to those very downtrodden who, to this very day, get trampled under foot by those who have no heart to care or to feel or to do or to deliver.
If you do not identify with those downtrodden then you do not identify with God and if you do not identify with God then you will not be spending eternity with Him in His glory, but in hell with all the rest who refuse to repent of all their foul, stenched perversions and wickednesses.
Who is God? God is the one who knows all and delivers all who will see and who will come and who will deliver those who are in need in your own town.

A Pagan Lapdog or a Return to Christian Principles in Government?

The last time that a Democratic President of the United States lived out his term, and a different Democrat succeeded him, that different Democrat was James Buchanan, in 1856, succeeding Franklin Pierce, 160 years ago—before Republicans came in and put an end to legalized slavery in the United States of America. Democrats did not do that; Republicans did.

How minorities can be so snookered into believing that Republicans hate them is far beyond me, because it simply is not true, and history supports my stance that it has never been true.

Americans might be weak, and fall into very bad choices repeatedly, but we’re not stupid. Democrats in the Oval Office very quickly wear out their party’s welcome (as history amply demonstrates) largely by doing things that are against the faith that started our nation.

Obama has been that in spades.

Now we have Hillary Clinton trying to succeed him, but blatant scandal is snapping at her heals, and might be about to bring her down.

Donald Trump might not be the ideal Republican candidate, but nothing could be worse than another Democrat, following on the heals of the Obama disaster. Wickedness and evil now stalk this land, and Hillary Clinton would bring more of the same. Donald Trump, on the other hand, has established an advisory council that has included, but is not limited to, such names as James Robison, Tony Suarez, Ralph Reed, James MacDonald, Richard Land, David Jeremiah, James Dobson, and Michele Bachmann.

In other words, one of the two main Presidential Candidates is seeking Christian council from those who have an intimate knowledge of the Scriptures, while the other gives no indication other than her apparent intension to wipe Christianity off the face of the land.

People have been so often deluded into claiming that this or that person “is the Anti-Christ” that, these days, even bringing up the subject is libel to get you laughed out of your forum, and even those who do bring it up suffer from this seemingly undying misapprehension of the term, as used by the Apostle who actually coined it in Holy Scripture. The only times he used it was in referring to people who had positioned themselves against Christ, perhaps even while claiming to be His follower.

Again, Obama has been that in spades.

Before you go out and vote next month, consider this: do you want his lapdog succeeding him, or would you prefer a return to Christian principles in government? As I said, one is at least trying to be for you, while the other is not.

The Founding Fathers made us the government of this land, not some pack of wild jackal elites in a far distant land. WE THE PEOPLE are the government in this land, and it is about time we started acting like it.

Stop kowtowing to the lies of the liberally listing mainstream media, who has given up all but the pretense to a balanced presentation.

There is a new media at hand, and against the onslaught of the left-wing elites that want to continue—and permanently establish—the status quo that insists upon treating the faithful like brain-damaged miscreants, they are instead bravely and forthrightly speaking truth to power. That is, to you, the WE THE PEOPLE that the Constitution of the United States has established as the true government in this land.

It is time to get up off of your milder sensibilities and into the fight, which is a fight for this nation’s very life. Your nation needs you, and it needs you now.
